What is Oracy?
Oracy is the ability to communicate effectively through speaking and listening. It helps children express ideas confidently, ask questions, think clearly, and engage in meaningful discussions.
In education, Oracy supports learning across subjects by improving vocabulary, critical thinking, collaboration, and confidence.

Georgie Ross
Director of Learning & Development
Georgie Ross is an experienced Drama and Oracy educator with over 25 years of teaching experience in the UK and internationally. She has played a leading role in introducing Oracy as a discrete subject in schools both in the UK and overseas, championing the explicit teaching of spoken communication as a cornerstone of high-quality education. Alongside her classroom work, Georgie delivers impactful CPD training for teachers, specialising in Oracy, Public Speaking and Personal Branding. Her training equips educators with practical strategies to cultivate confident, articulate and thoughtful communicators across all subject areas.

Dr. Andreea Zaman
Director of AI and Applied Science
A cognitive scientist with 10+ years’ experience, she holds a BSc in Psychology and a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from King’s College London, followed by postdoctoral work at Harvard University. At Oracy, she leads evaluation and personalisation, ensuring our Oracy approach is evidence-based, measurable and tailored so every child can build the skills they need most.
